PTProtect DVD Anti-Rip Copy Protection Software

PTProtect is a new software program built within Primera’s PTPublisher duplication software that provides a reliable and effective anti-rip solution for protecting DVD Video by preventing unauthorised duplication.

How does PTProtect Work?
PTProtect software is applied to the DVD image during authoring so that when content is burned to disc it is encapsulated with the PTProtect software. The encapsulated content on the DVD is then protected from access by common ripping programs. The content on the DVD is not modified in any way and, because the copy control encapsulation sits in areas of the discs not read by the DVD players, play-back quality remains unaffected.

Technology

	AcuGrip™ Built to perform Unlike other disc publishers, the Epson Discproducer features patented AcuGrip picking technology which ensures that only one disc is placed in the drive or printer even if two are stuck together. The arm has a guide that places it in the center of the disc. Then three independently powered fingers extend to separate the top disc from the remaining discs. Finally the peel off lever (or kicker lever) lifts the top disc for transportation. If more than one disc is lifted, they will be put in the reject stacker or the system will indicate an error has occurred. This technology not only increases the life of the product, but helps protect against the interruption of unattended production runs due to mechanical blockage.

	Micro Piezo Print Head MicroPiezo® print heads are at the heart of every Epson ink jet printer. These print heads spray ink through microscopic nozzles, or holes on the print head. Each of these nozzles has tiny, piezo electric elements, which vibrate tens of thousands of times per second, allowing the nozzle to fire ink droplets onto the disc at extremely rapid rates. Here’s how the process works

Bravo SE’s robot arm picks a blank disc from the input bin.
The disc is placed into the integrated Pioneer BD/DVD recorder.
The disc is burned.
The robot moves the disc to the built-in, 4800 dpi direct-to-disc inkjet color printer.
The disc is printed.
The robot picks the disc from the printer, places it into the output bin and starts over again
